I am also “just” intolerant and also had problems with Cheerios—but not my first bowl. Nah, I was lulled into complacency. I hadn’t had them for a while, bought a new box last year, had a bowl for a midnight snack… and an entire night of my *interesting* reactions to wheat ensued. The rest of the bag went in the garbage, and the unopened buy-one-get-one box went in the food pantry donation bag.

Sad to see they haven’t figured it out in 7 years. Or, more accurately, don’t care to.

I’ve had to educate my doctors, they’re not knowledgeably trained about on gluten issues AT ALL. My sister is celiac, myself and my daughter are gluten sensitive. I eat oats that I carefully pick out and keep away from General Mills products. Thank you for this article, my temptations towards Cherrios are put to rest.
